New Hope Film Festival Script Competition Call for Entries

In the Spotlight today is the 5th AnnualNew Hope Film Festival Script Competition(NHFF Script), connecting screenwriters to resources, providing practical feedback, and helping writers reach new heights with their script. Writers are encouraged to put financial restraints aside and deliver the best version of their work regardless of the film's final production budget. NHFF Script is looking to progress scripts with a keen perspective on quality and artistic expression. A writer's talent not their ability to conform to Hollywood script standards will be rewarded at the competition.

Introductions are crucial to the success of award winning scripts at the competition. NHFF Script does not simply dole out accolades; the competition adamantly works to see a writer's vision realized. 2016 Best Script winner, Olga Rojer is currently being advised by Academy of Motion Pictures member and Hollywood screenwriter Mark Rosenthal for her scriptBuenos Aries. Rojer exudes, "Wow! I'm so incredibly grateful to you! You take such good care of your screenwriters!" 2014 finalist Boonville Redemption went to production, and 2013 Best Screenplay winner Nelson Blish with Taking the King secured agency representation. Each NHFF Script finalist receives two passes to festival events, enabling countless opportunities to mingle, to network, and to develop valuable relationships with producers, distributors, and other industry players on the hunt for fresh talent.

All of the contest's finalists will be listed in the official program guide of the New Hope Film Festival and on New Hope's website which will be advertised onVariety.comfor one week garnering 2.4 million impressions. Over the years, New Hope has attracted and been home to many talented producers, screenwriters, actors, playwrights, and performance art enthusiasts. Home of the Bucks County Playhouse, where actors such as John Travolta, George C.
