TORONTO SHORTS
INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL
Toronto - Canada
March 2 to 3, 2018

In the Spotlight today is the 6th Toronto Shorts International Film Festival, seeking a range of short films from all corners of the globe. The Festival is proud to expand its presence with the Jackman Hall Theatre at the world-renowned AGO Art Gallery in Toronto as its host venue. This state of the art facility offered an exciting stage this year for filmmakers to premiere their works to some of Toronto's most engaged cinema fans and industry players.

Niara Modi, writer and director of Stir shares, "Our team really appreciated and enjoyed our Canadian premier at Toronto Shorts International Film Festival! We thought the programme was excellent; stimulating, provocative and with a great arc and we were thrilled to be a part of it." Colin Mercer, writer and director of Simplex adds, "I found the industry session I attended to be quite informative. The "Meet the Film Festivals" session interested me the most because of the opportunity to hear from representatives on the other side of the festival submission wall. It took away a bit of the mystique surrounding what happens after you submit and gave useful insider info into what programmers are looking for."

Toronto Shorts prides itself as an event where films from a wide spectrum intersect. Toronto Shorts screens more than 50 short films and awards Best of titles across all categories in addition to a special nod to Canadian films with the Best of Canada award.
