2018 International Short Film Competition

TheFOLCS International Short Film Competitionis an opportunity for developing filmmakers exploring themes related to matters of justice and injustice in our society and is produced by theForum on Law, Culture & Societyat NYU School of Law. Submitted films should have an underlying legal, civic, moral, and human rights theme.
“Legal theme" may be broadly construed.Entrants are free to choose any subject in which the relationship between law, justice, and society can be fashioned into a unique visual story.
Any genreis permitted.Films should run no longer than 20 minutes.

Finalist shorts will be screened at theFOLCS Awards Night as part of the AnnualFOLCSFilmSeriesin New York City.Each year the FilmSeriesfeatures renowned filmmakers, actors, writers, journalists, public intellectuals, and members of the legal profession. The Film Series also attracts overflowing and diverse crowds of film enthusiasts, which provides a great platform for showcasing your winning work!

Best Short, Outstanding Female Filmmaker, Young Filmmaker
(18 years and under), and Audience Favorite.
Winner of Best Short Award will also receive anInkTipScript Listing.
