ARTEMIS WOMEN
IN ACTION FILM FESTIVAL
Los Angeles, CA - USA
March 23 to 25, 2018

In the Spotlight today is the 4th Annual Artemis Women In Action Film Festival, an empowering event for female-driven films. The Festival's roots are dedicated to female driven action films, the people who pioneered them, and contributed to the success of the genre, and the undiscovered talent of the future. Artemis' definition of 'Women in Action' also includes women who take action - the activists, political leaders, and everyday women who affect change in the world around them. Festival fans leave screenings inspired and their awareness awakened to the powerful roles women play in society and throughout the world.

Each year the Festival puts together an incredible lineup of panels to inspire dialogue and networking. 2017 highlights include a Warrior Women panel featuring Archaeologist Jeannine Davis-Kimball, Historian Walter Penrose, Mythology Professor Kimberly Ball, Gender Studies Professor Kimberly Clair, Aikdo master Michele Benzamin-Miki, Jiu-Jitsu black belt Goddess Severa; Film Finance Panel featuring Producer, Brent Emery, Producer, Matthew Helderman, Producer, Michael Roban, Attorney, Nancy McCullough, and Film Finance and Analytics Consultant, Barbara Chiodo; and an intimate conversation with the L.A. Sparks.

Filmmakers are invited to submit Feature or Short length films, Documentaries, and Animation. Screenwriters are welcome to submit Fiction Screenplays (100-140 pages) and Pilots (40-65 pages) in any genre.
