2017 Kino Short Film Festival

Film Submission

Submissions for the 2017 Film Festival are now open.

The Kino Short Film Festival is an annual event sponsored by the University of Idaho and regional businesses around the Palouse to celebrate the art of short films. We are seeking work from regional, student and independent filmmakers from Idaho, Montana, Oregon and Washington. Submission is free and work will screen at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre in Moscow, Idaho on Sunday, April 30 and Monday, May 1.

Narrative, documentary, animated and experimental films are accepted.  If you are interested, please complete the below form and keep the following information/requirements in mind:

Open Submission Deadline:

April 10, 2017 - Midnight

Selections Announced:

April 17, 2017

Festival:

April 30 & May 1, 2017

Submitted short films must be 10 minutes or under to be considered (including credits). Submissions exceeding 10 minutes will not be considered.

If selected we encourage filmmakers to travel to Moscow, Idaho for the festival to participate in Q&A with audiences following the presentation of selected films.

Important — Only submit if you are the director and both have and can prove that you own all rights to the work which you are submitting.

If selected, you will be required to submit all paperwork to prove you have all rights necessary to have your work shown in a public space.
