In the Spotlight today is the 13th Annual Boulder International Film Festival (BIFF), a critically-acclaimed celebration of film that features the best new films by today's most talented filmmakers. Year after year, BIFF proudly offers huge and enthusiastic audiences, superb hospitality, and countless opportunities for widespread exposure and recognition. Major industry guests have included big-leaguers like The Hollywood Reporter, Dreamworks Animation, 20th Century Fox, A&E IndieFilms, and MovieMaker Magazine, among others.

Many films have gone on from early screenings at BIFF to significant success and multiple Oscar nominations. More than 25,000 film lovers and media professionals flow through this four-day extravaganza - no wonder MovieMaker Magazine names BIFF one of "25 Film Festivals Worth the Entry Fee" and one of the "25 Coolest Film Festivals" on the circuit. Director Sasha Collington can attest, "I am about to direct my first feature film, and it all began at the Boulder International Film Festival 2014. I went there with my short film, Lunch Date . I met the investor and Executive Producer for my upcoming feature film at my screening, and from there, the course of my life changed! It's a wonderful festival which celebrates independent filmmakers, and where truly amazing things happen!"

BIFF's PR and marketing teams shine the spotlight on the festival's accepted filmmakers, garnering millions of impressions throughout the festival. Invited filmmakers also enjoy complimentary luxurious accommodations and Red-Carpet VIP passes to all manner of late-night galas and unforgettable parties - where plenty of interaction with Oscar-winning filmmakers and celebrities is the norm. Of course, most people go to Colorado in March to ski! Filmmakers can head up to the slopes for some of the best skiing of the year, compliments of BIFF.
