IRVINE INTERNATIONAL
FILM FESTIVAL
Irvine, California - United States
January 13 to 19, 2017

In the Spotlight today is the 6th Annual Irvine International Film Festival (IIFF), a thrilling place to swap perspectives, merge ideas, engage in eye-opening debates, forge new friendships, and uncover unknown talents. It all unfolds in sun-dappled Irvine, California, not far from the entertainment capital of the world. Recent Academy favorites that have screened at IIFF include The Act of Killing and The Lady in Number Six: Music Changed My Life established early momentum at the festival.

Major film distributors and Academy Award-winning judges infuse IIFF with countless opportunities to champion, celebrate, and enhance promising filmmaking careers. Filmmakers also benefit from the IIFF Awards that is valued at $25,000 USD in goods and services to help take their film to the next level and reward their hard work to make it onto the fest circuit. Last year 11 IIFF Official Selections made it on the Oscars short list and nine were nominated for an Academy Award.

The festival welcomes a variety of film projects, screenplays, and invites students of all ages to put their film forward in the spotlight. Programming for 2017 also includes shorter form projects like trailers, webisodes, music videos and TV pilots. It all converges in Irvine for a spectacular seven days. At this unforgettable festival, talent truly has no limits.
