The School of Cinema & Interactive Media at DePaul University is seeking filmmakers for multiple full-time, tenure-track or non-tenure-track positions in one of the most innovative and fastest-growing cinema programs in the country. Located in the heart of Chicago's vibrant Loop and Lincoln Park communities, the cinema program is part of the School of Cinema & Interactive Media, which also includes cross-disciplinary programs in Animation, Game Development, and Interactive Media. There are currently nearly 700 majors enrolled in the Digital Cinema BA, BS, MS and MFA degree programs. The School of Cinema and Interactive Media offers MFA's in Cinema, Screenwriting, and Animation. Production resources include two RED One camera packages, two green screen stages, a mocap studio, two sound studios, one television studio, one 2K digital cinema theatre, and a lighting and sound stage. Past visiting artists include directors Marc Webb and Tom DeCillo, producer Paula Wagner, and former Disney executive Chuck Viane. Ideal candidates for the positions will have teaching and production experience in one or more of the following areas: producing, cinematography, directing, editing, sound, production design and visual effects. (Please note that there is a separate search for open positions in screenwriting.) Job responsibilities include teaching, advising, service, supervising student projects and continued creative activities and/or scholarship in the field. Positions begin fall of 2012. Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience; positions are dependent on budget approval. MFA or equivalent required for tenure-track positions; qualified candidates without an MFA may be eligible for full-time non-tenure track positions and are encouraged to apply.
