Full-time, tenure-track assistant professor to teach a wide range of courses in Film/Video Production. Ability to teach and develop undergraduate introductory and upper level courses in Film/Video production. Candidates experienced in teaching introductory through advanced production courses as well as areas of specialty in Screenwriting and Directing are encouraged to apply.

1.Teaching work load (four courses a semester), preparation for classroom instruction.
2.Instructional responsibilities include courses in introductory through advanced film/video production.
3.Desirable subfields: Screenwriting and Directing.
4.Provide student assistance including academic advising.
5.Participation in scheduled orientation and registration programs.
6.Participate in curriculum review and development, program reviews and student outcomes assessment.
7.Attendance at college functions, including commencement, convocation and faculty, committee and departmental meetings.
8.Continuing scholarship and professional activities which include contribution to the content of the discipline, participation in or contribution to professional organizations and societies, research demonstrated by published or unpublished work, public service and contributions to the professional growth and development of the college community.
9.Opportunities to teach summer, winter term, online and undergraduate and graduate evening courses

1. Requires a Master of Fine Arts with specialization in Film or Video or terminal degree in Film/Video Production.
2. Thorough knowledge and ability to teach high definition video and/or 16mm film production and workflow as well as experience with Avid Media Composer.
3. Ability to integrate appropriate technology and software in teaching.
4. Participation in professional organizations or societies, outreach activities with community businesses, and/or service-learning activities are strongly encouraged.
5. Commitment to excellence in teaching, demonstrated teaching experience commensurate to the level of appointment, and evidence of appropriate scholarly/creative activity.
6. Ability to work effectively with a diverse student body.
7. A commitment to research, publication, and/or creative work that will engage undergraduate students.
8. Ability to perform all duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
