2011's Theme: The Future of Media Education

This year, the UFVA Board of Directors directed the Conference Vice President and an appointed Conference Theme Committee to give the 2011 Conference a thematic direction to help inform and structure our programming:

The world has changed. The digital revolution is rewiring the planet in a way not seen since the industrial revolution. While many of the issues in moving image education are not new, they have become more numerous and pressing with the advent of new technologies. As we address or readdress many of these timeless questions we must consider the sea change to the very fabric of our society brought about by these digital technologies.
